Admission to Portfolio Center is based upon a representative portfolio and a broad academic background that supports diversity from applicants who seek to further or redirect their professional interest within the concentration of specific curricula.
Consideration is also given to all applicants who have been actively pursuing professional creative goals and are seeking to redirect their interest. Candidates generally hold a degree from a four-year college or university. Though not a mandatory prerequisite for acceptance, such a background is strongly recommended. All applicants must have a minimum of a high school diploma/G.E.D. certificate.
Indicate your Program of Choice & Start Date from the list of options on the Admissions Application Form. If you have not yet fully decided, that's okay - simply choose 'Yet to Decide.'
We're all about assisting you through the entire Financial Aid process - making it nice and easy for you. You are required to send in 3-10 samples of your creative work. On the Admissions Application Form you will simply indicate how you will be sending/showing your work to us. For example, you may mail it, bring it in person, email it or even point us to work you may have up on a website.
On the Admissions Application Form you will write a personal story of your intent and reasons to study at Portfolio Center. This will give us a sense of who you are, how you think, and what issues and ideas interest you most. 300-600 words will be just fine.
We prefer to meet you in person, but a Skype or telephone interview is just fine. On the Admissions Application Form you will indicate your preference.

Need a place to stay? There are many neat apartment complexes surrounding Portfolio Center - some in walking distance - some just a short drive away. An application fee of $100 is required. On the Admissions Application Form you will indicate your method of payment: Visa, Mastercard or check (made payable to 'Portfolio Center').
